One year ago today, I launched The Dancing Image. In honor of the first anniversary, I've compiled a master list of all my posts. It's organized alphabetically by category, with individual movie reviews comprising the vast majority. My hope is that this will encourage you to look at the blog free of chronology, and visit a post based on its subject matter rather than its time frame. So if you're reading this, consider yourself trapped. I want you to pick an entry below, and leave a comment on that post - either a response to my own write-up, or simply your own independent thoughts on the film in question. Though "on leave" from the blog at the moment, I will still be responding to commentary on a regular basis. (And I will also be writing regularly for the Examiner during this time.)
The complete list is below, and from now on it will serve as a frequently updated master directory to the blog. (For a similar list of all my writing for the Examiner, go here.)

Happy Blog-a-Versary! (Mines in a few weeks by the by).
Oh, and I have my eye on leaving a comment on your SYNECDOCHE, NY piece. That movie was such a trip, I can't seem to resist talking about it.
Thanks, Hatter, you too. And you've reminded me to return to your own Synecdoche post which I saw months before my own viewing (which ws rather late in the process) and held off reading because I didn't want to spoil it.
Your one-year output here is absolutely staggering! And the versatility of your reviews, the quality of your writing, the wide scope of your thoughts, the equal fervor for literature and film criticism (your love of WIND IN THE WILLOWS shines through exquisitely)and the remarkable willingness to engage all your visitors with the most challenging theories and counter arguments on ecould possible dream for, make The Dancing Image as one of the 2 or 3 greatest cinematic altars on the net.
Coming here and responding is no casual task. It requires the highest level of concentration and application of the thought process. It's uncompromising proprietor would have it no other way, and we are all greatly enriched by this highest of standards. And the tireless energy that is displayed here and all over is simply extraordinary.
Happy Anniversary to one terrific guy!
Happy anniversary to you and your blog, which, as you know, is among my favorites.
I might have to follow in Hatter's footsteps and leave a word or two on Synecdoche, New York, which I finally saw a few months ago and sent quickly to my Best of 08 list.
Thanks, Sam and T.S. - I look forward to any and all future comments!
Happy Birthday, and I have to echo what Sam said. This categorized list puts into perspective the excellence of a lot of the work you've done. And thanks for reminding me of your Anaconda review...
Daniel - thanks. Unfortunately, it's also reminded me of some of the mediocrity, but I've included the good with the bad and, at any rate, even some of the weaker writing has an idea or two to present, so it's not a total wash...
